Raise your hand if you thought my Toshiba troubles were over...

So, I have laptop problems. They're not the SAME laptop problems. My screen doesn't glow green and purple anymore, but my problems stem from the repair work they did. So, I'm getting a new laptop. Go figure. I'll believe it when it actually GETS here, but they say it will be coming as soon as they have confirmation that I sent back my current piece of shit. I'm not happy about having to send my old one back first, but that's the way they do it. (I'd rather they hold it against my credit card until they get the old one back and just send me the replacement so I can actually HAVE it.)

The new laptop will also be a Satellite. It will have a slightly smaller screen (15.6 vs. 16 - REALLY don't care). The processor and video cards will be the same, only 2nd generation instead of 1st. The HD, speakers, and webacm are the same. I will have a back-lit keyboard which will be nice, still a 10-key. And, while the laptop they're sending me has only 6GB of RAM, they say they're sending me a memory stick to upgrade it to the 8GB I currently have (and I'll get to keep the extra 2GB stick). I just hope this one actually WORKS.

They say this one will be a new machine, which is good because I don't trust a refurb model. They're sending my old laptop to their refurb center. I'm thinking that if they couldn't get it right with several tries, chances are, one more won't do it. I sincerely hope they scrap it and only salvage what they KNOW works (like the shiny new screen they put in the first time).
