30-Day Book Meme v2.0 - Day 4
Day 1 - What books do you have on request at the library? How many books do you usually have checked out of the library at any given time? How often have you returned books to the library unread? What do you currently have checked out at the library?
Day 2 - Bad book habit? Do you ever dog-ear books? Do you ever write in the margins of your books? Not even with textbooks?
Day 3 - Do you have an e-reader? What format do you prefer to buy books in?
Day 4 - Do you prefer to read one book at a time, or several at once?
I usually have two or three going at one time, but rarely do I have more than one fiction book going at one time. I simply can't keep the two stories straight or remember specific plot elements if I do. So, I typically have one fiction book going and one or two non-fiction books, with one of those books being along the lines of a collection of odd facts, quotes, etc. I find that I have an easier time reading non-fiction during the day when I'm with Michael. I don't mind the [constant] interruptions as much, and can easily get back in to what I'm reading. With fiction, I really just want to put a Do Not Disturb sign on my forehead and be left alone. I sink so deeply in to whatever world the author has created that I get a tad bit cranky when I'm yanked out of it for whatever reason.
