i think i just came up with my thesis for my english paper. time to test it on an audience. for the sake of the test, hold your breath until you reach the end of the sentence:
yeats conceived of the relationship between divinity and humanity as a two-way street with different rules governing the traffic on either side.
did you end up actually holding your breath til the end or instead did all the air force its way out of your lungs as you devolved into a fit of hysterical laughter from shock & disgust. it seems unlikely that you passed out before you reached the end (the standard version test), since it is rather succinct for a sara thesis. i know. ridiculous. i think i'm going to go w/ it though. i mean, really, it gives me a good analogy that i can actually develop over time (& conceptualize too!) & that'll still let me connect everything in this god-damned paper. really he wanted us to answer entirely too narrow of a question. this way i can link everything together while elbowing out some room to breathe.
tomorrow the marathon begins. the paper must be finished. luckily i only have 2 classes tomorrow to interrupt the process. sure, sure, plenty of you are used to banging out a 4-5 page paper in the space of hours, i on the other hand, need multiple days (this will be the 1st paper i've ever finished in the course of 1 day. if.). i just can't stay focused on writing that long. i'm still planning on scattering dance breaks, as per usual, throughout the process. also, feel free to call to check on the state of my sanity. (i like how i have a more evolved plan for procrastinating than i do for the paper writing. ehh. it's all part of the process.)
off to bed to put the final touches on the conquest of my cold.
