The Swash Channel Wreck

Not quite Age of Sail, but the BBC has an interesting article on their website today about the the Swash Channel Wreck, the remains of a 17th century armed merchant ship discovered near Poole Harbour in Dorset in 1990. The wreck is currently being excavated and recorded by Bournemouth University's Maritime Archaeology Research Group. The site has already yielded iron cannon, wooden barrels, rigging elements, copper, pewter and ceramic domestic material.
