There is a short
article in today's Guardian about an event at the Welcome Collection called
Hands: Amazing Appendages.
As part of the event a graphologist was invited to analyse two anonymous letters one written by a 36 year old right handed man and one written by a 46 year old left handed man. The graphologist deduced that the right handed man "will always give of his best", and that the left handed man "is assertive and not afraid to take responsibility". In addition he concluded of the left handed man, "the past has left its mark with the writer".
Both letters were written by Nelson, before and after loosing his right arm at Tenerife in 1797.
These letters can be seen at the one off event at the
Welcome Collections in London tomorrow night.
