Working with the DSI

Oct 28, 2005 18:27

I have been RTFM-ing, as boring as it can be. But I have some wonderful terrestrial pics of the neighbors roof. Fun fun. Have to do it though, to get accustomed with the software and how touchy the camera is. Minor hiccup: even though I keep the cover on, and the eyepiece covers on the telescope somehow the mirror has dust on it!  How the heck did that happen??  *sigh*  Guess it's just from the air/weather/atmosphere outside. Oh well,  I took my "poofer" and cleaned the focal tube and focal mirror. Not going to touch the main mirror.

Even if I had clear skies tonight, I can't stay up to do anything. Have to get up at OMIGOD Hundred hours to get ready for all day gig in Rockinham. Have everything except a few tasselbelts packed. I have to untie them from the pillar in the middle of the room. They make such pretty decorations. :)

dsi, practicing
