We have introduced Ziggy (who is almost 6 yrs old) to a harness and leash. You should hear her complain and then watch her sulk when it's first put on.

That changes when she realises she can go outside, and not just in the pet enclosure!

will she walk on the leash? as in 'take her for a walk'?

Yes, she will. But she does get spooked if a sudden loud noise (power tools, or helicopter). We're hoping that with enough time out on the leash, she will become inured.
