Personally I agree with the people complaining, the advert is scary and more importantly, it's talking about unproven information. Yes the climate is changing but to the extent that puppy dogs are drowning in the street?
I understand that the government likes scary adverts to get the message, look at the smoking or road traffic messages, but they're talking about proven scientific facts that have been both peer reviewed and represent a repeatable, testable hyopthesis.
I have to disagree, i think if that advert scares you to much or your children then good, perhaps you may think about turning off a few more lights and actually being a bit more thoughtful, fossil fuels are running out, at the very least from the places we can reach and until science makes a major breakthrough we are running out of fuel so lets shock people a bit more to save energy as to the point of the advert, the main objection seems to be the drowning puppy, climate change is happening and our excessive use of power in the west is clearly a contributory fact, cutting down on power now will probably not stop it, but it sure should slow it down, which gives good old science at least half a chance if they can get past the politics, the religion and the people who dont want to face up to the fact that they are destroying the planet.
