goodbye, A2

Jul 09, 2007 08:03

Oh god oh god oh god.

Greg's picking up the minivan at noon, the landlord's coming by for the walk-through at 2, and if all goes as planned, we should be on the road shortly after that.

I have not slept nearly enough these last few days. My anxiety level is through the roof. How are we going to fit all of our stuff into one little minivan? Can I get this place clean enough to get any part of our deposit back? And it's not even 8 in the morning, why is it so freaking hot? Why are we moving on the hottest day of the year?

I'm excited about the trip, and looking forward to getting on the road. It's the next 6-7 hours, the getting ready to get on the road, that fill me with the utmost dread.

The plan is to start by heading north today-- I've never seen Mackinac Bridge or the U.P., and I feel like it'd be a shame to miss them, so north we'll go, then west across northern Wisconsin to Minneapolis, then a straight shot west on I-94 (you know, 'til it merges with the 90 in Montana), visiting friends briefly in Spokane, visiting Grandma in Lacey, then south on I-5 to home.

Should be a fun and fabulous trip.

Davisites, I look forward to seeing you all again.

Ann Arborites, it's been a pleasure.
