I was always more of a Maynard fan, but yeah I know how ya feel. He was living in Princeton, WV these past coupe of years. He's our most famous dope-smokin' adopted lil' buddy. He will be missed.

Yea its indeed a sad one. What icon/celebrity deaths affected you? Like which were you generally sad about? For me it was:

--Jack Lemmon
--John Candy
--Jim Henson
--George Harrison

to name a few...

John Candy
Johnny Carson
Tony Randal - I always thought that he should have been on Frasier and played Niles' favorite uncle, crushed me when he died before I could start my letter writing campaign.

Johnny Carson didnt hurt me as much if only because he had been out of the spotlight for so long. Tony Randal though...that dude got around...he was like 80something when he died and he had a 5 year old kid or something. Or am I way out of line here?

That's the best I could do off the top of my head. Mitch Hedberg really got me this past year. especially since I passed up a chance to see him a couple of years ago ... now I"m super pissed that I didn't go.
