Oh the visual imagery!
It could be a wall outlet that when you connect to it creative things emerge. It would delivery creativity directly to the room you are in. Perhaps directly to the person touching the outlet?
Or it could be like an outlet store where you could purchase a "lower grade" of creativity than what is available at the regular retailers where it is still in its production form at full price? The lower grade could be less creative ideas, or creative defects (flawed ideas for instance) that didn't pass quality testing or a quality inspection.
If it was emotional imagine being in an emotional state where your body would produce it and...give it off and use it to...invigorate other people. It could work like a pheromone, people who smell it would suddenly be creatively inspired.
Recently there's been a bit of a creative kick that I've been on.
It all started with the crazy ideas for the futuristic sci-fi story. There are at least five pages of crazy ideas for that if you want to quantify how creative a kick I've been on.
This week it has been drawing. (I really need to draw something I can share.)
Now...I am thinking of writing a (Short? Short-ish?) story.
I've got some nice character names already picked out. A quick basic plot should be pretty easy but making it engaging and interesting without taking it over the top so that it can still be taken seriously? That will be more challenging.
I have a tendency to go over the top in stories because after a point realism bores the writer in me. Over the top is what happens when the backseat (frontseat?) navigator falls asleep near the wheel.
Plus the number of things I want to write about (and haven't) is starting to get pretty long. Have you seen the
To Do List?
On the way home I was thinking about...while I was away from LJ. I couldn't help but think about it. I just...disappeared for a long time. That was for at least five years. Maybe I am simply making up for that lost time.
Honestly I think it's because there's been a lot going on for me in my mind.
Work really doesn't help any of that. That's a different entry and I am not in the mood to talk about that right now.
