Pain in the...

After my last two, semi-mysterious updates...well, there will still be some mystery. That's for darn certain.

I saw my primary care physician for a follow-up about a week and a half after I was at the hospital.

He didn't think it was a case of a herniated disc. Yet when I asked him what he thought it was?

He told me he didn't know.

I'm sorry, what?

You feel certain that it wasn't X which had a plausible explanation yet you don't have any theories on what it could be?

ARGH!
But it got better! He told me that if I'm still feeling pain in six weeks to come back.

Fantastic; thanks, doc.

He was assigned to me by my insurance company when my old doctor (who I'd only seen a few times) moved away. I thought I'd give this guy a chance. I'd only seen him once before this entire should/arm pain fiasco and his manner seemed okay but since then I've become less impressed.

Is there a secret to finding a really good doctor? (I could always look for a blue Tardis but that could take too long...and he might also have to take me to the future to New Earth.) One who will listen to what you say instead of cutting you off before you finish answering their question? I get enough of that on the phone and the one person I need to listen to me is my doctor when something isn't working correctly.

Anyway.

I had an interview for another internal position a couple weeks ago that I didn't get. I wasn't stellar enough. I felt it was pretty clear at this time getting another position inside is going to be challenging.

Not to mention they seemed to think I wasn't really suited for the position, they seemed to think I was a better fit for more of a role that would involve creating or improving resources. What with the documents and Excel tools I've put together. (I like Excel, what can I say?) They didn't say that specifically but the sub-text was there.

shoulder pain, doctor, work
