Apartment
OK, so I am now a little more of a man. I am living in an apartment, not a dorm! No meal plan, no cleaning lady, just me (and JV Matt Kevin and later Scott). It is a tiny little 4 bedroom apartment, but it is only 1500 a month and about a mile from campus, which is sweet. We will still be looking for a house instead of living in a apartment, but for now for the price, it is a pretty nice. It is in an area that reminds me a little bit of the nicer parts of San Pablo (i know right), but I feel plenty safe and everything. We are about a block from Ralphs and a bunch of guitar stores, and it is pretty fun feeling like I am actually living on my own.
I have been doing training for my job this week (if you dont know about my job, I will be working at a new Venue/Restaurant that is going to be amazing. To give you people who know a little about Jazz history, we have Ramsey Lewis and Chic Corea, among others, coming this month, so this is a world class music venue that I get to work at.) Todays training went something like this. Arrive at 9 AM, sit around till 9:20, take an easy test, go over it till about 10:15. Sit around till about 11:45doing absolutely nothing, then get to smell teas for 45 minutes. Then an hour break for lunch, then come back and drink about $50 worth of Whiskey (a bunch of samples) then for an hour listen to the head kitchen people talk about kitchen stuff. So needless to say, it is easy and I am finally going to get a paycheck again! I am actually really excited about starting the job, I should make a good amount of money and it should be a really fun experience. And no school!!!! Woo!! (BTW, i somehow managaed to do basically no work, go to about half the classes, and still pull off a 3.06, bringing my total college GPA to 3.58 doing pretty much minimal work. Oh ya.)
