Nothing Ever Happens

I'm in this huge boring ridiculously useless funk and I need to get out of it.

So the job didn't work out. Still keepin' on. Went for a quick trip to LA to visit my sister, mostly spent hanging around with relatives.
I did look around some random thrift/used book shops and picked up a mug with strawberries painted on it, a Roald Dahl-inspired cookbook, Yoshitomo Nara art book, and a few huge men's shirts I want to mess with.

We also went to a great shitty coffee shop called Cacao. I had a not too good chai latte. It tasted syrupy. The place was alien/tiki themed though and open 6pm to 3am, so that won some points in my book.

I just got over my Christopher Nolan kick (I watched Following, Memento, and The Dark Knight recently after watching Inception), but now I'm getting on an asian movie kick. I just watched Jeon Woochi (what can I say? I'm a Kang Dong Won fan) and planning on watching Shunji Iwai's movie, 'Bandage' as soon as I get it. And probably a few Wong Kar Wai films.

I still want to read Norwegian Wood before the movie comes out. And I'm actually anticipating Gantz. I actually read the manga. Hopefully they play it in SF? I'll keep my fingers crossed.

I also borrowed Event Horizon because apparently everyone has seen it except me.

Sorry guys. Not exciting.
