So disgusted, and horrified!
WARNING: LONG POST: I am thoroughly DISGUSTED! I'm Horrified. And I feel dirty just F-ing living here!! My next door neighbor with all the dogs. You've probably seen me complain about her barking dogs, and how she doesn't clean up after them, well, yesterday, my mom, David, Vincynt and I all went up north. We went for a hike and picnic at a place in northern Arizona called Sunset Crater. BEAUTIFUL place! The hike was great, and the picnic was very good. While we were up there, I got a text from my neighbor friend (yes, I'm teasing you! ;) ) asking if everything was okay. I told her we were up north and asked what was going on, and she told me. After our trip up north, we came home. There were still a BUNCH of people here. Let me tell you what happened from what we have gathered so far...
Apparently, a little while after we left yesterday morning, someone called in a report, and an officer came out. A while later, there was a fire truck that came out, check out our NEXT DOOR NEIGHBORS HOUSE, check the air quality and carcinogens in the neighborhood. They also left with 6 or 7 black bags. An officer earlier that day had told a neighbor while asking about the lady that lives/lived next door to us that they found 6-7 DEAD DOGS IN THE BACK YARD! Apparently, the neighbor was no where to be found and the police were asking the neighborhood if they knew who she was and where she might be. When we got home, there were still 2 police SUV's here, 1 police car, and 2 humane society trucks. (We didn't get home until around 9:30pm, left at about 10am). We tried to ask the police what happened, but the response I got was "We'll let your neighbor tell you what happened." WTF? So, heading to the front door, there was this TERRIBLE, HORRIBLE, AWFUL smell. You couldn't even breath! The woman renting the house next door was sitting in her brand new car that she's had bought maybe a month, across the street. I walked over towards her, didn't even say anything to her and she says to me, really nasty, "I don't talk to you any more, thank you, good bye." So I just looked at her a second and said, "I just wanted to see if you were all right." and her response, again, really negative and nasty, "Fine, leave, goodbye." I'm the idiot in that after all, I continues to try to be nice and support people when they do me wrong. That's my fault. Continuing on....
As we are unloading my mom's car, and rushing Vincynt into the house so he has minimal contact with what is happeneding (and making sure that all of the windows are closed), we hear them yell from inside the house "WE FOUND ANOTHER ONE!" and then barking, from the humane society truck? From the house? I'm not sure. We get unloaded, get Vincynt in bed and go out side, because I have to know. We talked to the humane society workers AND the police both. I need to know... Is it safe to be here? My answer was pretty much, well, you wont die being here. So I said, "Okay, so we wont die, but will my son get sick being here?" My answer was as follows: "Well, I'm not a doctor, and I can't tell you anything. But what I can tell you is that he wont die being here. The fire department was here earlier in the day checking the air quality and carcinogens to make sure it was safe. But my suggestion would be that if your son has respiratory issues, it would be a good idea that he stay away from this area for a little while." As we are talking to them, again they yell from inside the house, "WE FOUND ANOTHER ONE."
They filled up 2, yes, 2 of those humane society trucks up with Dogs! They finally left at 10:30pm last night. Today, one of the neighbors from a few houses down from our house came to talk to us and told us that there was a 3rd truck earlier that day that left with dogs in it as well! He also said that he heard them (As in the police and humane society workers) speculate that she had at least 40 dogs INSIDE THE HOUSE!! OMG! Anyone that has been to our home, you know, these homes, and yards are not THAT big! So far, that was the drama from our neighbors house yesterday. Still have no idea if it's safe to live here anymore... And, all this has caused me to suffer from constant anxiety, and have nightmares. I hope it's all over soon. I'm afraid of them coming and opening that house up again, because just them having the neighbor front door open last night, that stench was so HORRIBLE! And you know they aren't going to tell us they are opening it. We'll find out when our house starts to stink. This whole situation is just a nightmare to live next too. I just hope my son isn't disturbed by it.
