Girls Night Out

Jun 10, 2006 11:54

Friday evening was great. I went out with Eva (from my hiking group) and her friends, Laura and Danielle. All of them were 6 inches to a foot taller than I was and everyone was very pretty. I felt like being in a lost episode of Sex and the City. Except those TV women were roughly the same height and I fell *coughcough* short of the mark with my dining partners.

Saint-Ex is one of the best restaurants in the DC area and I found out exactly why last night. Their menu is somewhat pricey but the food and ambiance are definitely worth the price for a great night out with friends or a romantic date. It's quite cozy as well, with a great bar. Eva introduced me to this very nice Belgian beer called Delirium Tremens.

It was a very nice dinner and what was even better, Eva insisted on paying for everyone. It was really nice of her to do that but she said it was because we were going to have to put up with her, since she's going through the withdrawal symptoms of a break-up. Too bad, the guy seemed nice but he turned out to be an arse.

And if I weren't busy enough, I found a new site to occupy my I-don't-want-to-think-about-guys-right-now period called My People Connection. It seems very, very interesting.

(This break-from-what-I-really-should-be-doing-which-is-to-finish-my-assignments-for-my-summer-courses is brought to you by Dove chocolate.)

dove, my people connection, saint-ex, delirium tremens
