Finance is SOOOO weird... We started the financial Maths eXchange today - our group is a bank and we have to lend money to corporations and sell bonds and try to repay our own loan and make money and do all this weird stuff... It seems really odd - it's not really worth that much, but our mark depends on how much money we make... And if the corporation we give money to flunks we lose tonns of money, so we have to devise strategies to help them keep going. We signed up two today - I did one of the contracts, it was all so odd... You have to actually talk to people and convince them that you're better than the other banks and try and judge whether they're smart enough to know what to do with the money and manage to pay you back and all that... I'm sure all the law/commerce people are laughing at this, but hey, the most I got to real world in the last 1.5 years is... well... not very close, let's just say. So this is all a bit weird.
How much crap is on tv??? And what is with the housewifely reality shows?? Hothouse??? My Restaurant Rules?? They are all exactly the same!!! why don't we just watch the same one over and over again? Then we can memorise them...
