So, I forgot about the camera until I was finished with installing the axle seals, reinstalling the rear axles, and putting together the rear brakes, but remembered partway through sanding the left front fender. Sorry guys, I'll do better tomorrow. Speaking of which, tomorrow will also be car work, so the invitation is once again open. Later!
Standing on her own four wheels, paint is in it's early stages.
As you can see, the rear wheels are now installed, and the car has been taken off the jack stands.
Sanding the left front fender.
Mostly done with sanding.
Sanding finished, fender washed with mineral spirits, ready for primer.
The first coat of topcoat has been applied. Yeah, I know, I forgot to take a picture of it in primer, too. It's not so easy to remember when your documenting your own work in progress. :-P
Final paint is finished. All that's left for this section is to give it a light sanding with 120 grit, or so, to even out the texture. Spray cans make evenness nearly impossible. Anyway, that's all for now, see you tomorrow!
