I loved this! I think a series of one-shots (and you go ahead and write as many as you want) for this verse is such a great idea!
Even if one hasn't read the first story (ha- like who?), I think you've set this up to stand alone. There are lovely little callbacks to how they met and their pining for each other that speak to anyone who loves them and wants to see them living and loving together.
"At least now I can be certain my boy won’t get hurt again.”
Burt Hummel wins all the awards. ALL OF THEM!
The jutxaposition of the Hudmel reaction to Blaine and Kurt getting together and the Anderson's was bittersweet. It's always such a letdown to see Blaine anticipate the worst and then still be so hurt when it's ten times as terrible. It's so good that he has such loving support from Kurt and his family, but it's still a hole in his heart. A tiny little hole, but so very deep. I hope it goes away soon.
I sit up and flick the small bedside lamp on, greedy for the sight of him. I know what I’ll see and I’m not

Oh, there's a LOT in store, believe me:) Thank you, bb, for sweet sweet words and encouragement. I hope I'll do the boys justice in this sequel. And the parents... well, the topic of the parents will come back somewhat later:)
Yay new story! Let me flail for a few minutes... Cause I'm having a rotten day week time right now. And your work is among my favorites!
Very nice job, as usual. I kinda want to smack the Andersons... And I so love the Hudmels :) and that little bedroom scene... Ughnnnn gorgeous. Can't wait for the next installment!!
I loved the original story so much and so happy to see these other stories. I almost squeeled like Burt and Carole when Kurt introduced Blaine as the boyfriend. And of course my heart broke for Blaine after the way his parents treated him and Kurt. I'm glad he stood up to them and left and that Kurt now has the chance to be strong for him.

Thank you so much! Yeah, the Andersons here are all about the image, infuriatingly so. At least there are the Hudmels.

The family issues will be recurring, I guess, among other life changing things:)
