Christmas eve...
It's all snowy up here in CT and for some reason i find it very soothing to look upon as though there is some part of my brain saying, "here is winter done right!" I'm sure that there is a direct correlation to the fact that I was not here to participate in the digging, scraping, slipping and falling aspect of the snowfall.
I'm not entirely well at the moment. i feel a little ill in my chest but some r & r seems to be helping as well as tea and other liquids.
I did yoga with C yesterday and the yoga teacher on the video kept saying, "it's pretty good to be here" and "it's pretty good to be alive" and I liked her attitude; very California.
it's pretty good.
the presents are chosen, bought and wrapped and the baking done (i was an enthusiastic observer of this last part) and the tableau of white snow, black tree limbs, evergreens and the cloudless stark blue sky says 'home' to me.
