also, i learned yesterday that one of the greatest and rarest feelings here (at least for me) is success. i was working on the lab for ecs in matlab/simulink and just couldn't figure out how to make it work. it was very frustrating, but i took out my calculator and played with some things, looked through some help menus, and just started changing numbers. and it worked. i figured out how to make the plot look like i wanted it to look. it was incredible. i think that was the first time in two and a half weeks that i actually felt smart. i miss that feeling, so it was awesome to have it back for a moment.

also, my history of tech teacher loves my thesis proposal, which is great.
