i've heard from a few people that the people who assign roommates somehow didn't get our roommate surveys and therefore matched us up by who looked like whom. if you look at a lot of the roommates, that actually looks like it's true. anyway, however they did it, i think they did a great job, at least for me. as my mom is fond of asking, yes, ash and i are getting along great. we had a good conversation earlier tonight about colleges and getting acceptance/rejection/waitlist letters. i talked about when i got my olin letter, and even told her about anthony. that's not usually something i include in telling about getting into olin, because then people don't know what to say. it was okay tonight though. i left out the other side story concerning all my mixed up emotions though, because that is a much longer story for a much later (if ever) day.

now i really need to get some sleep. goodnight.
