(I didn’t knew how to reply to this, sorry it took so long, sweetheart).
Scotty is my favorite character of the show so, yeah, I defend him and talk about him a lot. Mind you, this is one of my first’s posts of him that aren’t just a bunch of “ajajdjfhfj I HAVE FEEEELS”, but yeah, I talk about him a lot :’) Which is rare in this fandom, sadly (not that I think that liking other characters is wrong, I just wish there was more people interested in Scott since he has so many important things to say in his story).
(I used to like Peter so much at the beginning. Now… not so much. Sorry :X)
In my opinion, being a good guy who does good things is hard as hell. Scott is a good guy, he doesn’t one anyone to get hurt and doesn’t want to harm anyone, either (which is a dangerous mindset when you have people like Peter, Deucalion, Gerard and the Nogitsune walking around but it is also really human and realistic to have this person who just wants to save everybody and to see everyone be happy for at least ten seconds. Which, of course, is why it hurts like hell).
I think people like Scott are admirable. Taking into account the things they are going through, is easy to say “fuck this, let just kill him and be over with this” in S2 with the Kanima. It’s painfully hard to decide to save the Kanima too. Trying to find good in everyone and see a breach of hope in the middle of a situation like the one they are living is also hard. So, Scott? That guy who is all “we can try”, “give me the time and I’ll do something”, “save him”, “I’ll do something”, and “the plan is to save you”? I just admire him so much, because being an optimistic person in that kind of situations is difficult and he just is.
I’m going on a tangent. Anyways, that, I really like Scott. He’s one of the most human characters of the show and I love him for all he brings (even if I cry like a baby because, “honey, stop trying to carry the world on your shoulders” and “start caring about yourself too, for a change”). The fact that he is a bag of sunshine and that he has the most beautiful smile ever is secondary ;’)
And, I don’t know what I’m saying. I’m blushing and I want to hug you and say sorry for not liking Peter >.<
