being home is good. i even enjoy cleaning and nothing feels better than cooking in my own kitchen. funny how i start missing all that. most of these i dont find such fun things to do in every day life. but that is after all the best of life i think. just normal and easy, as usual.
tildas sleeping pattern is all lost and gone now though. after three weeks of sleeping in the same room with us, and most of the nights in the same bed it is suddenly the most horrible idea to sleep in her own room. falling asleep takes hours and i dont know if tilda has been this restless ever before during the night. last night for some reason i didnt get sleep before 2 am and tilda woke me up at 4. i got back to sleep around 6 am after a lot of talking, kicking, crying and rolling around the bed. and at 8 tilda was awake again. i dont feel as tired as i was afraid i would after just 4 hours of sleep.
a new year has totally began now, sewing course has started, there is this and that to do every day, like going to the dentist and visiting the maternity clinic every other week. hopefully we will see some friends this week too. and most importantly there was a sweet looking little boy born in berlin last night. jaakko is a very happy uncle now and tilda is also finding her role as "seekku" (a cousin) very important and fun. a new born baby brings so much happiness, we find each other smiling more often than usual and some how most of our thoughts are maybe more near berlin than home at the moment.
snow has been keeping us happy too for the last days. it was about time for winter to start, today jaakko and tilda spent a good long hour outside making many snowmen with real carrots as noses (and while doing that they were filmed by a local tv chanel and they will be in an ending of some program next friday. funny). im slowly finding all my craft projects here at home. some nice, some i would love to have finished all ready. like a lovely dress for tilda made after and old vintage pattern. only buttons are missing, but after this mornings fitting with tilda i have after all a lot more to do with it. her head doesnt fit in from the neckline. and the pattern was sized for a four year old! i have no idea how the dress will be fixed so that it doesnt look terrible. thank goodness for the sewing course and our amazing teacher.
now another cup of tea and maybe few moments with one of my knitting projects. one of the nice ones i think :).
