Was just trying out with different themes on Lj.. wasn't satisfied with any. Finally settled with one.I found this the best with an image of the Western ghats in the background. Thank you sainath. Thanks guru :-)

Hey, you have an option to give a link to a image which will get dispalyed in the background under Lj settings. Its available only for a few themes. Go to Cutomize Jurnal->Customize Selected Theme -> Colors -> Style

Hm..I chked it out...My theme does now have a colors ---> Style.. :(

Doing well! 5 more months until we're a family of 3, so we've been enjoying our opportunities to travel various places as they've come, even though there haven't been and real noteworthy vacations (since we burned up all of our vacation time for the year going to India in April). I'm in "job search mode", though moving slowly. Just went to Maine for Christmas with my family and Memphis last weekend for the wedding reception of the son of an old friend of KM and deponti's.

very nice background! teach me how to do this...but I want to retain the ads I guess, as I don't want a paid account but must support economic revenues for LJ, too....

BTW, you can support economic revenues for Lj in a totally different manner. Go to your friends page who have ads in their Lj and just keep clicking on them :-)))

Lj ads are Google Adwords. They dont make money when you just display it in your page. They make money only when you click on those ads. Google charges the advertisers based on the click.. Pay per Click method. Livejoural will get a small fraction of that revenue. So its only when you click, Lj generates revenue :-)

Thanks for that info. Then I rather think I will get back to a no-ad layout..but...perhaps I should allow it, to let visitors to my LJ to do their clicking...

I kind of liked the old one. This one seems a bit pale.

Sorry, would like to correct what I said. With the background it looks a lot better. (The background image loaded after a little while. Damn my internet connection!) :)
