Bangalore Trees

Weekend was crazy. I did buy a book titled THUG by Mike Dash. The book about the India's murderous cult Thugee and explores out where this all started. The book is serious stuff but I keep laughing while reading the book.. imagining the incidents mentioned int he book. Good fun. It was just one of those books which I bought because the first thing I liked was the cover. Totally retro. Love it.

We are in the middle of hot Summer and still mornings are so very pleasant. The mornings are about 27degrees and goes upto 33 degrees in the afternoon (the hottest ever I think). Absence of humidity is a boon. Infact I had a dinner in a graden restaurant last night and the breeze was quite cool and pleasant.

BTW, Metro Rail work has started on Nanda Road. I am really diappointed. All those efforts to save the trees hasn't yielded any success but the effort continues. HasiruUsiru has been doing its best to save the trees. Also we as part of Save Nanda Road are planning for some awareness campaigns by involving the residents who really care about this beautiful road. I just can't imagine the road without the trees. Probably we should try the exercise which ashbirder had posted about -> The Value of a tree.
