Work again today. The lunch that the pharmaceutical reps brought was seriously good, and their dessert of gigantic cookies was highly appreciated. I'm fairly sure I gained 15 pounds and will be on a sugar high for the next three weeks. Other than that, work was pure normalness, although I'm getting better and better at getting files out fast. I'm deft, dudes and dudettes. Pride is running.
Isn't it so sad that the highlight of my day is lunch?
Anyway, I'm halfway through Volume I of Sandman and I have to say, I seriously love it. You'd think it would be weird reading a graphic novel, essentially a comic book for adults, but instead, it's a way of making a novel more powerful. You can actually see the characters and witness their dialogue, and they can perform actions without being hindered by words. It's seriously amazing. Read and enjoy!
I really overuse the word "seriously." I feel like Holden Caulfield. (Wow, I'm an unreliable narrator. How cool is that?)
ADDENDUM: I nearly forgot. I have a quote of the day, by Dr. Marza, who is seriously (See? There it is again!) the coolest doctor ever. She's a good doctor, but she has a great sense of humor and tells it like it is.
"There are so many stupid people walking around in this world, it's like a scary movie."
- Dr. Marza, in reference to a patient that asked her if he should come in for his common cold.
