I was at the public library downtown...is everyone at the library homeless? Very strange. I mean, it was the middle of the day- so a lot of people with jobs were at them, and likewise with schools, which have their own libraries anyway. But I mean, straight up booze-smelling shifty-eyed homeless people. Odd.
And there's always that one genius homeless guy. The guy who is clearly homeless but is taking copious notes like he's working on some research project or doing calculus equations. That guy scares me. I don't know what's up with that guy. His duality frightens me.
I've got a little bit of that. I'm a little crazy, as you guys know, but I have that super disorganized, kinda bright but kinda crazy thing going on. I worry that I'm gonna be a crazy old man when I get older.
I am watching Glee. This show is interesting.
Anyway, while at the library I practiced a little Japanese*, I renewed my library card and got 2 books:
The Drama of the Gifted Child, which is a short book about childhood trauama and how it relates to emotional dysfunction in adulthood. This book is brutal, and I love it. In this book is your own and your family's specific dysfunction(s) in terms which you will immediately recognize, and which will make you horribly uncomfortable and/or enlightened because they are true. Love it so far. Buy it.
Also got Sleeping Woman by Haruki Murakami, which is a collection of 24 short stories. Haven't cracked that one open yet.
