Walked into an AT&T store today- was on my way to see the Opera, kinda. Well, a movie theater. Anyway, I messed around with some of the phones, since mine is old and terrible. Well, it works perfectly fine, it's just...not new. It's a flip phone, for one thing. And while that was fine a few years ago...eh. I mean...you know. And there's no fancy stuff, like watching videos or listening to music, or even putting files on the thing. And the camera sucks. I mean it's decent, as far as cameras go- it takes pictures of stuff, and with enough effort things come out relatively clearly if you're close enough-
But, the resolution is low.
Anyway, I've decided if I ever get any money, I'm gonna get one of these. It's a pretty sexy phone. Does all kinds of stuff, most of it I will never use it for.
But, considering I mostly just text people to stay in touch and take random pictures, maybe I should just get a decent camera, instead?
I should really just get an iPhone, but everyone has a fucking iPhone, so why would I want one? That's my teenage antisocial streak, still intact.
I dunno, I just want cool stuff. Other stuff to buy once I get some money:
-A car. A decent one. Like, I would like the car equivalent of my phone that I have now- I don't need an LCD screen or a keyless startup, or even for all of the windows to roll up. I just want one with good gas mileage, that actually works. By the way, is it called kilometerage in the UK and abroad? Good for getting around, but also for getting out- will help with the socializing, that is, not locking myself in the apartment and staring at my computer in the dark.
-A new PC. New motherboard/CPU/RAM. Current PC is getting kind of slow. Also Windows 7 looks nice, and I enjoyed my time with it. But I hate the idea of buying an operating system. They've always been free, since I bought a PC and it came with one, and I grew up using them... Windows 7 Upgrade from Vista is like $100, which is insane to me.
-A new apartment. Gonna need to get the car first, since that widens my range in finding a cheap place that's decent. And that's the thing, I could get a 2-bedroom apartment for what I pay now for a 1-bedroom, it's just that I live downtown/midtown now, which is in the middle of the city, and it's more convenient. I really do like this part of town, but I could use cheaper rent and/or more space. And also legit job, since nobody wants to rent out an apartment to someone who only works on and off. So the job/car/apartment trinity are interrelated.
-An Xbox 360 or PS3, though those are of a much lower priority. The truth is that I barely play games anymore, but as of late (SF4, the upcoming Marvel vs Capcom 3 etc) there are games of interest, which I would actually play on a somewhat-regular basis.
Also, it never occurred to me that this song had lyrics. I'd just heard it in the background during movies/shows/commercials. Pretty good lyrics, actually. Well, the translation is good- it may sound odd in its native French.
Also, changed the layout for my LJ. I'm not sure how many of you are still reading, but FYI. On that note, I'm not sure if I'll ever be inviting people here. This is just my little webspace to rant and vent in mostly-private.
