Saw the new Tyler Perry play last night. Funny as expected. I had a pretty decent night. I did myself in thought with my tallest boots, what was I thinking. Like I didn't know there would be walking around McCormick Place. We also parked in the outdoor parking lot to avoid the 30 min line when we were leaving. more walking. It was worth it I enjoyed myself.
I went with my sister and her female pastor. Funny how Tyler Perry's plays appeal to so many types of people. It has worldly and church appeal. So the lobby is quite a gumbo of my people and I like that. Its strange being with a pastor because somethings I would think "now thats ignorant" or "you are not in your house" and just move on seem HUGE when you are standing with a minister. Although her pastors (husband and wife) are particularly laid back and funny I still cringe when people were cursing and being inappropriate. I guess that is the point you should behave like you have sense or home training as my granny would say always because you never know who is there.
Oh and is it really so hard to acknowledge or understand that we need more womens restrooms than mens rooms? No lines vs 50 people in front of you it seems obvious to me but I guess you have to first stand in your high heels in a slow moving line to know our pain. Don't women design buildings too?
All in all I had a great time and I cannot wait to see the movie version of Diary of a Mad Black Woman. Tyler Perry has a great cast and the movie clip he showed looked quality. He gets my ten dollars.
