Maeve stares at the rope, then looks back up at the woman. "You... You don't need to do that," she says. "I... I w-won't r-run."

She can't stop her voice from trembling still.

{He really does. Like there's a difference between being a dumb teenager and being a jerk, and he crossed it a long time ago. :| }

Isra flashes her fangs. "Your hands, girl," she demands. When the other fails to respond, she grabs her by the wrists and loops the rope around them, ending it in a knot that leaves them helpless and immobile.

"Sit down."

(*highfive*)

Maeve stares down at her bound wrists, then, slowly, lowers herself to the ground. She doesn't look at her captor, too busy biting her lip and trying not to cry.

Isra stares at her with hard eyes for anothr minute before she pushes the bag over to the nearest tree trunk with her foot, well out of the girl's reach. "Don't touch my things," she says. "Stay right where you are. I need to find logs for a fire."

(Okay, I'm going to bed now, sleep tight :3)

Maeve says nothing, only continues to stare at the ground, biting her lip so hard it bleeds while tears begin to drip from her eyes.

The grounds are littered with broken branches and logs. Isra flits from one spot to another and swoops down, gathering firewood in her arms with the help of her tail, but her thoughts are with the prisoner that waits for her.
She pauses and sighs deeply.

If nothing else, she might be able to sell off the girl if she becomes too much of a burden.

Isra returns and surveys the scene before her, although the girl doesn't appear to have moved at all. She kneels down a couple of feet away, arranges the wood on the ground and takes a deep breath. Her hands light on fire, eating away at the wood until it catches.

She grabs her bag and pulls out a package of dried, salty meat wrapped in thick paper.

Maeve glances up and catches sight of the food; her stomach growls loudly, and she's reminded that all she's had to eat today was her measly portion of bread.

She reaches up to try and fish it out of her pockets, but then she searches there's nothing there. It must have dropped out at some point.

Hungry, tired, and scared, she scoots back against a tree and curls up on the ground, closing her eyes as she prays for sleep to take her away.

Nightfall does not creep slowly over the land here. It sweeps in swift and all consuming and leaves the wood in thick darkness, held at bay only by the flames of the small fire Isra keeps burning.

She watches the girl sleeping restlessly on the other side of the fire, lost in thought.

When she goes to sleep, she does so lightly and never fully sinks into loss of consciousness.

(Teen Wolf is such a guilty pleasure TV series for me *cough*)

Maeve sleeps restlessly, waking up several times during the night, cold and aching. Her wrists are red and swollen from being tied so tightly, and she's starving.

She sees the jerky from last night sticking out of her captor's bag, and licks her lips. She wonders, for a moment, if she might be able to just steal a small piece.

{I've never seen it. What's it about?}

Isra comes to with a wide yawn. Her eyes land on the person across from her and she starts, startled fully awake with her teeth bared until she remembers why she isn't alone. Feeling tired and cranky, she sits up and stretches her arms and tail and scowls at the girl. The sight of her swollen wrists makes her frown, however.

She gets up and swiftly kneels down in front of her prisoner, grabs her hands none too gently and loosens the rope enough to get some circulation back into her wrists.

(Precisely what it sounds like. A teenager who becomes a werewolf and all the troubles that entails. XD. High school romance, packs, alphas, rivalry, yadda yadda yadda.)

Maeve looks up, shocked. When the other woman turns to to leave, she looks down at her wrists, which cry out in relief from the pain. She swallows heavily around the lump in her throat, and decides to take a risk.

"Could I... Could I have something to e-eat?" she whispers.

{Fun. :D Sorry about the half finished comment before, I pressed enter by mistake.}

Isra shoots her a narrow eyed look over her shoulder. Perhaps it is the girl's pitiful state that makes her consider it, perhaps it's something else, but eventually she sighs and gets a piece of jerky and a handful of big, dried desert fruits that look much like nuts out of her bag.

"Waste none," she warns with a hiss and shoves the food into her prisoner's hands.

(XD. That's okay!)

Maeve nods shakily, and takes the food given to her. She breaks off the little piece of the jerky and takes a few piece of the fruit, then carefully tucks the rest away inside her pockets.

She eats slowly, used to having to make her food last. It isn't much, but it's better than bread and it's not overly rotten; she hasn't something this good to eat in ages.

[COMMENCE PACKING PANIC AHHHHHHHHH D8 }

Isra cocks her head, puzzled that the girl isn't wolfing down the food she has been given. She tucks her tongue against her cheek and eats what is left of the jerky and fruit for her own breakfast, and despite eating a bigger meal than the other, she still finishes first.
Restless and eager to get on with her search, Isra gets up on her feet and hoists the bag onto her shoulder.

She doesn't trust her prisoner not to run off, but neither does she want to drag her along into town. In hasty decision she lifts the tip of her tail to her mouth, blows on it, lighting it on fire with beautiful, golden, deep red flames. She stops in front of the girl, puts the burning tailtip to the ground and draws a circle around her.

Flames rise from the ground and surround her, trapping her in a circle wide enough to move and stretch in, but little more.

"I will continue my search," she says.

(Calm down! Write a list :3)

Maeve flinches at the flames and curls up, nodding weakly.

Isra takes one last look at the circle to make sure that it's secure, then takes off, sprinting through the woods towards the city.

(Sounds good! I think I'll eat some ice cream and go to bed. I need to stop sketching. XD. When does the flight leave? I figure that Isra discovers the amulet had left the city so they need to get on the road. Travel bonding (not so much) :P)

It's a long day. There's not much room in the circle, so all Maeve can do is sit, huddled up against a tree trunk, deathly afraid of what will happen should she try to move. She attempts to sleep, but her nervousness gets in the way and all she can do is close her eyes and think of all the horrible things that could happen to her if she disobeys her captor.

{Sounds good! Ah, it feels so good to be writing again! :D}
