this is so suprising i must brag
wow, i haven't written in awhile..... just been very busy with all the overlaping english assignments. and also nothing had worthy of writing about until yesterday night. for all you BMS people remember that Letter about Literature contest from way back in november?(the one that zaq was giving EC for entering) well i entered that, and did like 3 revisions of my letter before actually submitting it.
AND........... *drumroll please* I WAS A SEMIFINALIST! they've already chosen all the winning letters but i got an OFFICIAL letter and certificate yesterday saying I was one of 150 semi fininalists and that they wanted to publish my letter on the California Center for The Book website. By the way, there were 4,000 entries from California, so to be part of a much smaller handful is quite an honor. This is sooooooo exciting and motivating that it only encourages me to enter again next year. Yesterday, I needed to tell someone because i couldn't wait until today to tell zaq so i called my friend celia.In our whole convo we kept going back n forth bragging about different things. LOL.
AND THE NUMBER ONE REASON WHY THIS IS SO SURPRISING?!?!!!
BECAUSE I'VE ENTERED CONTESTS LIKE THIS AND ONLY GOTTEN REJECTION LETTERS
