I'd do even better if I wasn't laughing so hard

Y'know that '73 Pinto I customised in Forza 4 on a lark, calling it "Fireball XL-5" and plastering hazard stickers on it?

It's, uh, winning. Winning big. I'm posting times in the top 10% on the global leaderboards in its class. The Axis powers (Subaru WXR, Mercedes M Coupe, even a few Alfa Romeos and Lotuses) have been defeated by the might of Detroit... I've gold-medaled the semi-pro tours of Europe and Japan in the game with it.

The big, fat racing tires on it, combined with the weight-saving from stripping the interior, give it an awesome launch acceleration; out of the gates I can usually get from 6th place (out of 8) into 3rd by the first corner. And because of the tires, and the anti-roll bars, this thing loves corners... it's very tolerant of lateral Gs, so passing in corners is easy.

As a result I'm usually in the lead by the end of the first lap, and by the third lap the competition are tiny dots in the rear-view mirror.

My God, I've created a monster.

-- Steve actually having an amazing bunch of fun with the thing. Pity the real one never managed that, the ol' dog.

PS: I could use a better differential on it, given the amount of smoke it kicks up, but that'd put it into a different competitive class and I already have plenty of really good cars (including a few Aston Martins) in that one. Oh well, I guess I can make do. *grin*

do not puncture or incinerate, forza, cars
