I just finished the first level of Halo: Anniversary Edition and failed to make it past the first checkpoint on the second level. Also, though I unlocked the "Overshields are for sissies" Achievement I failed to find the first Terminal. I am self-disappoint. Then again, I am playing on Legendary... and it's been years since I last played Halo 1... so perhaps I should cut myself a bit of slack on that.
Still near the Xbox is my copy of Forza Motorsport 4, whose discs (note plural) may as well have been pressed from crack cocaine. I never was one for racing games, shunning the Burnouts and even disdaining the vehicular portions of Crackdown in favour of running... though in the latter case leaping over buildings is a lot of fun in itself. Before Forza the only race game I had was Outrun, but Turn 10 managed to get a little something into their game that was enough to draw me in. (And not just the Top Gear integration either.) I think I'll be playing it as long as I have any of my beloved Halos; I'm so confident on that I bought the Season Pass for their DLC for the rest of the year. Vroom-vroom!...
I also have a Ghost in the Shell DVD I picked up at a charity sale last month yet to watch, as well as a brand-new Blu-Ray/IMAX on the Hubble Space Telescope that should be awesome to watch.
On top of all that, my to-read pile currently consists of Children of the Sky (Vinge's direct sequel to A Fire Upon the Deep) which I'm about half-way through, Traviss' Halo: Glasslands, and Stross' Rule 34 (sequel to the 2nd-person POV novel Halting State).
Even if I dump all of my social stuff, it'll take me the rest of the month to exhaust this supply... and the year's far from over yet.
