Werner Herzog -- in 3D

Why was I not informed of this earlier? Internets, you have failed me. (Your Agonisers, please...)

At the link, Leah Carroll writes in The Atlantic about Werner Herzog's latest film, a documentary on the 32,000-year-old Chauvet cave paintings. The documentary, Cave of Forgotten Dreams, is shot in digital format and in 3D, by a director who dismissed Avatar's 3D technology as "fireworks". The reviewlet seems to imply that Herzog got it right... and Herzog rarely makes an unwatchable film, at least in my limited experience.

-- Steve hopes this will come to his neck of the woods some day; this London is no cultural capital or anything, but there are plenty of digital 3D projector suites here.
