Fallout 3 Named Game of the Year by IGN

As the title says, I just found out that IGN named Fallout 3 game of the year. Haha. I'm happy mostly because I'm obsessing playing the game so much lately. It is a lot of fun. Durhur. It won a couple other awards as well.

I finally got to start playing it today when my friend loaned me his copy :D omgaddicted. I need to get my own copy but I don't have 60-70 dollars to shell out :(

Yes it is indeed addicting as I have found out. LOL.

What platform are you playing it on?

I'm playing it on 360. :)
I am sad because he wants to take it back Tuesday, I am going to have to check online to see if I can find it for cheap...

Aww. Lol. I have it on ps3. The 360 gets access to the DLC for fallout 3 but the ps3 doesn't. :[

Aww, that's lame :( Are they releasing it for ps3 soon, or do they just not like you guys? ;P

From what I've heard, it's just not going to happen on the ps3. PC and 360 get it, though.

I am very annoyed. The game still cost 60 dollars for me to buy. So why do I get gipped out of the extra content? :[

A lot of the ps3 owners are rioting over it as well so maybe they'll come to their senses and give it to us as well (even if we have to wait longer.) or maybe we'll get something exclusive too. (doubt that though)

That's silly that they won't give it to you guys :( Did they give ps3 the Oblivion content? I think I remember it having the GotY content. It can't be much different to set up...

That's a good question. I just looked it up and the PS3 did get the DLC for oblivion, though it was much later on (as was the port itself).

So maybe with due time...

A thought I just had!
Maybe when they release the GotY edition it will have the DLC like Oblivion did...which means you could borrow/rent a GotY edition, and then have the content? :D

HMMM. How does that work? Is the DLC like an installation off the disc or something? Or would I have to borrow the disc every time to play it?

I'm not sure how it works for Playstation, but for Xbox, Knights of the Nine and Shivering Isles could be either 1) installed to the system from the GotY disc or 2) bought and downloaded from the Xbox store. I have Collector's Edition of Oblivion, and my ex has GotY, so I just borrowed his bonus disc to install the content to my hard drive so I wouldn't have to buy it. :)

Whoa. If it works like that for the PS3 (no reason why it can't) then that would be the best way to do it. I thought I'd have to re-buy the game to get the DLC which was why I was a bit miffed at them putting it on a disc, but I thought it was better than not having it at all. But if it's an install then I'll just rent it from blockbuster or something.

That is, assuming it happens that way and that's how it works. I'll have to research how they did it with Oblivion because I'm sure fallout 3 will be the same way. (hoping they put it on a disc at all.)

Yeah, hopefully they'll do it the same way for PS3/Fallout 3...

In other news, I'm looking around ebay and amazon and the likes for a copy of Fallout 3...I wanted to get CE but omgomg, I just discovered the Survival Edition lol D: I am so tempted to get it, even though I would probably stop playing with the pip-boy after a day x.x

I have the collector's edition of FO3. My friend got it for me for christmas as she said they were out of the regular one, but she super wanted me to get the game. BUT ITS OKAY because the collector's edition is pretty awesome. I love the lunchbox. It's the exact same one you can find in-game (AND MAKE MINES OUT OF :D)

I heard the survival edition with the pip boy isn't all that great. I mean the pip-boy looks awesome and stuff but I heard it was made with cheap materials and can break pretty easily. ): That's kind of a bummer, because it's pretty expensive, and of course people'd wanna play with it.

Yeah, looking at it more and more, it seems like it is not worth it to get the SE. Plus, I think I can get the CE for pretty cheap (probably less than $50 if I am awesome ;P), whereas the cheapest I can find the SE is about $110...Huge price gap... :/

Wow less than 50? I'd say go for the CE if you can find it for around that price. I don't think the pip-boy add-on with the survival one is really worth that huge amount of difference anyway.
