Well it's been almost TWO YEARS since I first said I wanted to check out Resistance but due to lack of super fuckin expensive ps3 (and the fact that i knew i'd suck at it if i tried to play it) I WILL FINALLY GET TO SEE THIS GAME.
Mike had a ps3 and I brought up how I always wanted to check out this game for it because it had a really cool plot but I knew I'd suck at it cuz its a fps (first person shooter) and suddenly he was like "Resistance?" lmao I was like "YES THAT." and then he informed me he had it at his house...... I WAS LIKE OMGRLY!?
He's only borrowing it from his neighbor but he says he thinks its cool enough he will buy it. I AM SO PLEASED YOU GUYS. The only thing is now I have to figure out when I can go over so I can watch him play it (CUZ I SUCK AT FPS AND I WOULD GET IRRITATED AT LACK OF PLOT AND TOO MUCH DYING) but he has mid terms and stuff so it looks like NEXT FRIDAY.
I'm excited. Haha. I went back on their site and dug around and remembered why I thought it was cool again. HRUHURHUR. I wanna read up a bit more on the chimera first lol. C:
But uh, then Mike told me RESISTANCE 2 IS COMING OUT SOON. And I was like lol orly? So he sent me the link to the site for it on ign.com and it's not much right now. I mean, to me, it looks pretty much the same as the other game haha. I just wanted to find more uh, backstory/plot or what have you on that game. I dug around for a trailer for it and found the tiny ass teaser trailer which seems interesting.
THEN. OH GOD. I stumbled upon MADNESS. Yea in the trailers was this little mini-trailer-series thing like kinda hooked up as a story line. It seemed odd and it didn't explain TOO much. But then when the video ended it had a website URL at the end and I was like "ORLY" so i went there.
I kind of wish I didn't but at the same time I would have anyway because I have this thing where I can't stop if I'm too curious about something even if I know it'll be fuckin awful. So uh. It's a website based on the human experimentation that went on in American to try to find the end of the "influenza" outbreak in Europe. (its actually the chimera virus lol) I was shuffling around one of the files on a character in the website when I found a grubby ass tape on it. I CLICKED IT AND... madness...
I've come across websites before that ask you to input your birth date before entering. It's usually because of mature content of some kind and its sorta like your electronic signature saying you're 18+.
ANYWAY. I was watching a few of the videos, the first few were the same ones I saw in the trailer site and then a few were little introduction videos of the soldiers that volunteered for the experiment. Then I clicked on another video and it asked me for my birthday. Lmao I was thinking bad shit was gonna happen but was not REALLY READY TO SEE WHAT ACTUALLY HAPPENED. I mean when I think back on it, it didn't disturb me all that much (I wonder if that's bad LOL) but the fact that I found it on a website for a game was like HOLY SHAT LOL.
I'll spare details unless anyone really REALLY wants to know, because I know some people on my friends list would rather not know. But it was pretty surprising to me at least LOL. Anyway there were a few more of them.
Though by the end I was wondering if they were trying to make them shocking and bloody because they seemed so over the top. I was almost kind of eye rolling and sighing at the extreme-ness. lol. Though I will never be able to unsee them. (:
SLOWLY, SLOWLY, SLOWLY I AM DESENSITIZING MYSELF TO HORRIBLE HORRIBLE THINGS LMAO. A few years ago I would have cried tears of blood at those videos. Now I sit and am shocked AT FIRST and then am like "omg this is so over the top e_e" LMAO. magical.
ANYWAY they're offering beta for resistance 2 and mike says hes gonna try to get into that too. BUT WTF I STILL NEVER SAW THE STUPID PLOT OF THE FIRST GAME. FKLFJK
I wonder if there is somewhere I can get a video ...pile for the cut scenes or uh.. idk.. a transcript or something. I'd rather not read it in a plot summary if I had to, because sometimes it leaves out things that are kinda cool. lmao I think I vaguely remember what happens in it anyway. I'm pretty sure I ended up looking it up due to thinking I'd never ever get to see the game.
BUT NOW I WILL WTF.
Also the chimera are freaking awesome looking. I wish I could draw cool shit like the chimera. UGH. STUPID LACK OF ABILITIES. DJSKJKJj.
