DWTS on TiVo: Jive or Viennese Waltz -- lot's o' laughter
Having just watched the presidential debate, I can tell you a tentative Susan Lucci was as awkward as the Tom Brokaw-moderated event. Ouch.

So Lacey appears to not be able to perform without funky-colored extensions. It's the serious Viennese Waltz, and although subdued ... she's still wearing something. Some weird bleached out crap. To see if they're traditional enough for Len, they go to an old folks' home! LOL LOL LOL Can someone please explain to me how Lance is a more masculine dancer than Joey Fatone was? For a totally objective evaluation, I have to say they are really good. Maybe Lacey doesn't want them to get kicked off as much as I thought. This is lovely. I bet Len asks for more "rise and fall", but it was still really nice.
I wonder if Cheryl is tired. She looks tired. They look cute, and this "Rock Around the Clock" pick is good for them, I think. Nice jump off the stage, Maurice! She's lost some of the off-season weight already and is back to her chic self, I think. This is fun, but as I said last week, he won't go as far as Emmitt, I don't expect. Probably make it just under Jerry Rice time, I'd guess.
I know he's an underdog with no hope of winning, but I really like Rocco! Um .... The Viennese Waltz to "What's New Pussycat"?! Someone on this show is on crack. They are doing a good job of lots of twirls and turns, though. He's rough, but I hope the judges don't beat him up again. I may have to forward it just to stop listening to this horrible song...
The Paso really suited Warren, so I hope he can to the Waltz. He's "gonna show us a big fella can be smooth". LOL at "the softer side of Sapp"! Wow -- he's surprisingly light on his feet! He won't win either, but he's darling, and this dance is totally charming. Ok, I'll admit it, I have a big huge grin on my face, and I was totally leaning my head to the side while I was watching it :) I think Warren might have a little crush on Kym. He is too cute!
I'm excited to see "the kids" do the jive, but the pre-dance footage makes me think Julianne has some nasty old extensions. And for the actual dance, she's wearing an old lady wig and one of Cheryl Burke's old dresses. I don't understand this. It's high energy, but I don't love it like I've loved their other stuff. This is the perfect opportunity for her to wear saddle shoes, and she's .... old. Yuck. Dance is fine, but I'm "meh" on it. I'm with the judges -- the "leg guitar" was ok, for a second, and once. But it went on too long, and they did it twice. Bleh
BWA HA HA HA HA HA HA! Toni thinks she's doing the "Vietnamese Waltz"! She also does a pretty decent Elvis "thankyouverymuch". Surprise! The first appropriate music -- it's Für Elise, but .... oh. interesting. They are doing some sort of Trans-Siberian Orchestra version. It's interesting, but I haven't seen a lot of dancing. And her I'm in court costume just totally hid what may have been a lovely arabesque. Hmm ... an interesting show, but not so much Viennese Waltz. Len's mad. I think I'm with him.
I seriously might not watch Cloris. The hand is poised on the FF button. Hmmm ... she has one point going for her. Her costume is way better for the Jive than Julianne's... Oh YIKES! Corky pulled her wig off in the slide under his legs! dear LORD, please, please deliver us from her next week.
Is it just me, or does all this pink make you think they're honoring October as Breast Cancer Awareness Month?
Brooke is giving us a real Viennese Waltz, I think. This is lovely. OH! So cute -- they changed the song to be "Mothers Be Good to Your Daughters", and she kissed her daughter at the end. It was totally darling. I'm actually sniffly. WAHOO! The first 10 of the season, and the first 10 from Len :) Fully deserved.
EEP! They just played footage of Misty-May getting hurt during rehearsal, and you could hear her ankle pop! AUUUUUGH! She's in a cast to her knee, with a ruptured Achilles tendon. Dancing is dangerous! She was excited to do this dance (the Jive) in sneakers :) awwww... LOL -- she is afraid a bunch of female fans will be mad at her for getting Max off the show so early in the season!
