it's the little things (no pun intended) that make me happy

I just ran to the grocery store on a quick errand. As I turned down the soda aisle, I saw two cute little blonde women craning their necks up at something on the top shelf. As I approached them, I realized that the younger one was about my mother's age (68), and the other one was obviously the mother of the first. So I walked down the aisle to them and said, "do you need some help, short girls?" They both burst out laughing! It was the funnest thing ever! The mom had to put her oxygen tank down, she was laughing so hard. Once she caught her breath, she asked me to get a bottle of root beer off the top shelf. I told them I was worried they were going to hurt their necks, which set off another round of laughter. They thanked me profusely, and said it must be nice to be tall.

Sure it is, when something that simple causes so much hilarity :)
