i think i just saw ebony from cycle 9 of america's next top model on the street. i think it was her, since she's from chicago and all. bizarre. and in looking up which cycle ebony was from, i just found out that heather from the same cycle is studying video game design at the illinois institute of art chicago. bizarrer! okay, nobody really cares but me. but still.
speaking of video games. is it bad that researching about video game addictions for a paper makes me want to play world of warcraft? i never liked it much, but suddenly, it sounds so appealing again.
it's a little weird reading about it all, since i've experienced it firsthand. holing myself up in my room. lying about how much time i spend online. sneaking back to the computer in the middle of the night, after everyone has gone to bed. thinking about it constantly, even when i'm not playing. and after finally getting over it all, feeling like i lost out on so many opportunities.
it terrifies me a little because it took the entire uprooting of my life and moving to the other side of the world to break my addiction. if i hadn't, would i still be obsessed today?
