well, i heard from the doctors nurse this afternoon, she checked with their billing department and the EVLT is covered by medicare. she is still trying to get hold of the woman from the hospital who said it was not covered to find out what is going on and why there is confusion. so as of now, i will go get the compression hose (uugghh!!) tomorrow and go for the EVLT on the 5th. if i go and they say i need deposit, i'll just walk out, won't even go near that hospital again...lol
at least i was reading up nit and the articles say that 99% of people can go back to normal activities the next day. that's good cause i hate having to depend on other people to take me places (which is good as i have an eye appointment next week)...i feel like an intrusion on them...if i could drive myself home after it's done, drugged and numb (in the gas pedal leg), i would...after all it's only about 9 miles away....lol :o)
now i'm nervous...i saw the procedure done online from a site that explains it and they do it under "local anesthesia", needles, long tubes and the laser thing....oh i hate needles and blood and pain!
oh well i need to stop worrying about it until thursday...will have to take a vicodin before i leave so i will maybe be out anyway....lol :o)
i have to go to the grocery in the morning also, grocery shopping can be a PITA but it has to be done...some people like to eat now and then...lol
going to run for now...maybe post again later. see ya!
