It's not often that I wax political in a public forum such as this. As a rule, I despise politics and religion equally, but here lately there some things have forced themselves into my attention range and I feel the need to go on the record with my own opinion on one thing in particular.  There are a few groups out there that think the proper way to show their patriotism on the 9th anniversary of 9/11 is to get together and burn a bunch of copies of the Islamic scripture, the Qur'an.  While I support the 1st Amendment right to free speech with every part of my being (in fact, sometimes it's the ONLY thing I believe in,) I feel I must say that there is a big difference between exercising one's right to be heard, and one's desire to force a message upon others that is fraught with hate and intolerance.  While the incident that occurred nine years ago was indeed a tragedy, it is no more the fault of Islam as a whole than it is the fault of Christianity that groups like the National Liberation Front of Tripura (a Christian terrorist organization which is one of the top ten most active terrorist groups in the world, forcefully converting people to Christianity) or the KKK exist and commit atrocities in the name of a certain religion.  I just wish people would learn to take their heads out of their asses every once in a while and look around at the hate they are spreading.  Stop acting like petulant children having tantrums every time something happens in the world that is outside your ideas of an apple pie life, and if you must, keep it to yourself, please.
