Real estate update
Today, I picked who I want to represent me in my search for a house.
I'm going with a buyer-broker, who is someone who Only represents buyers. His agency doesn't represent sellers At all. I interviewed him today and then called and checked his references, and he seems really knowledgeable and like someone I can definitely work with. So, the process is officially started. Now I just have to finish getting loan approvals and rate quotes, and find a house I want to live in for the next 5 years that is in my price range. Sounds like I should be set and ready to move by November/December, which is my goal. I also have to finish cashing in my stock and using it to rework my debt, since when I pulled my credit report this weekend, I wasn't happy with my current score, and I realistically need to get it bumped up by 20 or 30 points before I do the final loan applications.
If only finding a good woman was as straightforward as finding a house. Sigh.. I'm probably going to be too busy for a relationship right now anyway.
