Finally.
So on a whim tonight, I did a google search on my ex-gf Ka yan from way back who for some reason has been on my mind lately. I discovered that she has a blog and began reading through the past entries. Reading her blog made me realize two things. #1 I remember why I fell in love with her and although her and I have both moved on and could probably never date again even if we wanted to, I do miss her company and friendship. #2 I need to finally stop living in denial, bite the bullet, get with the program and start blogging, if for no other reason so random people from my past both recently in Colorado and further back in Seattle and Oregon can randomly stumble upon it and see that I'm doing well and reminisce in their heads about the good times I had with them. Since a lot of my current friends post on LJ, I might as well do it here too, so they can read my writings as well.
For some reason, I can't sleep tonight, so I suppose I might as well make this a long first post and talk about my day.
Today was a pretty good day, although it started off not so great. I woke up an hour late, and had to rush out the door to work, barely stopping to make coffee and grab a granola bar (my breakfast of choice lately). I got to my jeep in the parking garage only to discover that the door was slightly ajar. Another break-in. This is the 2nd one in less than a year. At least both this one and the last one, the thief was a professional and didn't do much damage to my jeep. The stereo was still intact, but they had popped the heater vent covers and ashtray out of the dash in the process of trying to remove the stereo. I managed to get everything more or less put back together, and am only missing some nuts and bolts for the top to my jeep that were in my glove box and my wheel lock key. Sucks, but not bad enough to bother reporting to insurance.
So anyways, got to work an hour late, which was bad, but I think my boss is pretty much used to me coming in late anymore. I've been staying out a lot later, and my motivation level has been low lately. Other than coming in late, work was pretty good today.
After work, coffee w/ saintanodos @ Stellas, then we decided to drive around and apartment hunt. We're both looking to move soon, and may even room together.
I decided not to go see Troy tonight with boundtothemusic and saintanodos and whoever else was going since I'm supposed to see it this weekend with this girl in the springs I've been talking to online... I went to Blue Ice w/ Anna and some of her friends instead. That was pretty interesting, it was reggae music night. Anna and I flirted a bit as always (we dated 2 years ago but have been just friends since then) and her friends that came were pretty cool. I'm so excited! Anna is going to take me sailing on Sunday, wind permitting... I've never been sailing before :)
