So god really wants that misogynistic adulterer con artist to become our president? Didn't he tell 5 other Rethuglicans that he wanted them to be president? Boy he just can't make up his mind.

If we can't get the candidate we want, we'll suppress the vote. If the vote still goes against us, we'll impeach the President-elect. If we can't impeach, we'll refuse to consider her nominees or agenda. After all, nothing says there have to be nine Supreme Court justices. We can get by with eight. Or five.

Nice democracy youse got here. Be a shame if sumpthin' was to *happen* to it.

the Roman Catholic Archdiocese of Boston has contributed almost a million dollars to defeat a ballot initiative that legalizes recreational use of marijuana. I’m having a hard time figuring out why.

I'm not: (1) They regard pleasure as sinful. (2) They regard pain as divine-viz Mother Teresa's reign of sadism. (3) Marijuana tends to attenuate conditioned, reflexive thoughts, thus facilitating scrutiny of received truths and just-so "wisdom"; that poses a direct threat to the financial health of the Catholic Church.
