[fanmix] chelseaverse - so hold on strong
Notes: Oh look, it's another fanmix for Chelsea!verse. This one is the one chock full of family feels, along with a few songs that didn't quite fit into Patrick's previous mix since, y'know, that one was seeped in the emotions of "Running Out of Air." Essentially, this mix is for Patrick in the main story of Chelsea!verse and is meant for his families. It's also probably a lot happier in tone than the other three mixes. (Erm, well, it gets there?)
Jonny, surprisingly, kept himself out of my mix construction process. I didn't realize that was the case until I'd more or less finished it. All the more surprising since this is the dude that wouldn't shut the fuck up as I was making Patrick's "Running Out of Air" mix, all "I need one, too! I will tell you things if you make me one!" (This fact also amuses/intrigues me, considering everything going on in Part 3 of Cheslea!verse.) As a result, this mix is still very much limited to Patrick and his sense of family. Therefore, you should expect feels related to (heh) Donna Kane, Liz Garza, Patrick and Abby Sharp, Chelsea Kane, and Patrick Kane himself. (Love you, loser.)
We're moving from post-Madison to some vague point in the story, probably early Part 3. Maybe late Part 2. I'm not sure. Jonny complicates everything. I hesitate to say it goes through Part 3 simply because of how Jonny impacts the family dynamic, but saying this only goes through Part 2 doesn't feel right either. Hm.
All these mixes for Chelsea!verse would not be possible without captainfantoewstic @ tumblr as a sounding board and cheerleader during my crises of confidence. You're the best, Amy. Shoutout to staygold-kanerboy @ tumblr for lending encouragement, as well. Y'all helped a lot.
Songs might be added to this mix over the next few weeks. There are a few niggling at the back of my brain, asking to be included, but they won't, y'know, tell me their name or their artist or more than a wisp of a lyric so it's slow-going. Songs, man. But I feel comfortable putting this out there now, because it already feels complete to me.
