[Atsuki has been realizing a notable increase in the numbers of yellow Shinen in the village. That is to say, people are more joyous/happy this week... or at least in the last day or two. Clearly, something is causing it. For now, Atsuki has developed a theory, but he needs to find some way to look at it more objectively,

[Did he just--? Is he making fun of her? That was weeks ago. And what does he even mean, "cast a spell over the village"?

There are a few false starts, sounding like she's starting to say "what?" or "hey!" before a short period of silence.]

[He was going to reply with a deadpan answer after maybe a short laugh... but now he feels something odd himself. After all, why is he teasing her like this? His emotions since meeting her have been, well... perhaps he's been delaying far too long. After all, Shirley did sense it some time ago, right?]

[Here passeth the Slayer. Bundled up to the nines, she walks with a slow, uncertain directionality. Anything to get out of the house, right? Buffy tends to keep her eyes on the ground. People were looking rather happy this week and she knew the sound of love when she heard it. And she heard it often, crackling over the journals. Their happiness drove her up a mental wall. How dare they.

As she walks, she laughs bitterly to herself. Don't be so selfish, she has to remind herself. Contrary to popular believe, the world does not revolve around Buffy Summers.

Except for when she slips in an embarrassingly horrible way in snowy slush and lands straight on her ass in front of a perfect stranger.]

[...Oh, that's a distinctly blue Shinen. It's akin to grief, but it's more like sorrow, right? That makes him concerned, of course, which is all the more reason to activate Σ to read Buffy's mind, right? Permission to pick up the name "Jim." Anyway, this process with take all of four seconds and all Buffy should feel is a slight... clearing/collecting of her thoughts]

[And then neigh immediately (As the use of Σ happens so damned quick) he stands and hurries on over to her-] Are you okay?

[Permission granted. After all, her synapses are practically screaming about Jim. So much of the snuggly-wugglies in the air, it's enough to make a broken-hearted girl take a serious turn for Depressedville. Everybody seemed to have a date except for Third-Wheel-Buffy.

Of course, falling down has this great side-effect of wiping all other pressing thoughts from the front of your mind. So that feeling of getting more organized or collected? She sees it more like a blank slate from the trip.

With a groan, she looks up.] Yeah, yeah. Peachy with a side of keen. Just some bruises.

[Oh he goes to class with this boy every day and Σs his dreams so he knows man. Which is all the more reason to activate Σ on this yellow Shinen as he gets closer. Now's your chance; you can attempt the cool style]
