What are you proudest of in your own work?

A lot of us here are writers, which may be part of the reason we criticize Paolini, Meyer, Tesch, Stanek, and others. We don't understand how publishers can accept the tripe they spew out. I imagine many of us are confident that we have them beat, at least in some areas. So, if you are one of those people, what areas of your work are you proud of? Feel free to brag here.

And I imagine that everyone here has Tesch beat, except in the area of so-bad-it's-hilarious writing.

I'd say I'm proudest of how Xavier (my MC in "Resolution") doesn't use brute force or power to solve his problems when he gets transported into the parallel world. Instead, he uses his 21st-century knowledge and supplies to trick, scare, con, and otherwise manipulate people into leaving him be. Examples include convincing a spellcaster that his flashlight is the all-powerful "Wand of Death", using flammable bug spray and a lighter to feign magical ability, and trading a large amount of supplies for a bag of marbles.
