I have another request....
This time I come on behalf of Diamondo, who is working on an essay regarding Paolini's languages. She is researching exhaustively, but there is so much ground to cover that she was wondering if she could enlist your assistance.
We have a list of words in Icelandic (the modern incarnation of Old Norse) compared to words in the Ancient Language, but she feels sure that there are a couple of other languages that Paolini borrowed from and didn't credit. If you guys have any suggestions on this, it'd be most helpful.
Also, she'd like to know if anyone has information regarding his Dwarf language--he says that he built it from scratch, but she has a sneaking suspicion that it, too, has other sources--namely, Tolkien's language. Can any of you shed light on this?
The Urgal language is pretty identifiable as made-up words, but if you guys have any insight on it, Diamondo would appreciate it greatly.
If you guys can't help, don't worry about it, but any information at all would be beneficial.
