I <3 New York
New York was so much fun! Lou and I got to do all the things we wanted to and the train was on time. :) We walked to where Kinokuniya moved and it was well worth it- it had three floors, one of which had tons of Japanese stationery! No lucky star paper, though, but that's all right. :)
And we saw Hair. And it was AMAZING. Not just good, it was jaw-dropping AMAZING. It had audience participation so characters would come out into the audience and climb on chairs and touch us (I touched one!) In the show, the characters have a "be-in" where they burn their draft cards and during that scene, they handed out flowers and flyers to the be-in. Lou and I got flyers! At the end, people could go on stage and dance with the characters (we didn't, I wish we did but next time I see it I'm going to!) but at the end, everyone was standing and dancing and singing "Let the Sunshine In." I even cried! I think Hair ties Evita for my favorite musical.
I also bought some fun stuff, most notably at the Sanrio store and a Hair shirt from the theater.
I love New York and I'm glad I'm out of school so I can go again soon!
